Each slope rated and explained, with pictures attached to every concern.

Repair, replace or leave it alone, and the reasons behind that call.

  • Attic findings

Stains, damp insulation and airflow problems that only show from inside.

  • A quote in writing

Line-item pricing for whatever the roof actually needs, nothing padded.

  • Storm claim guidance

If hail or wind did the damage, we explain how the claim side works.

Roofing Services, Ranked by What We Do Most

Replacements and storm work make up most of our schedule, and many of those jobs run through an insurance claim. Everything below begins with the same careful inspection, so the recommendation you hear is based on what the roof shows, not on what is easiest to sell.

Five Steps From First Call to Finished Roof

  1. Describe the concern

A stain on the ceiling, granules in the gutters, a storm last week. Tell us what prompted the call and we will choose a daylight time for the visit.

  2. The inspection

We examine each slope, every flashing detail and penetration, the gutters and the attic. Concerns are pictured and noted, and we review the results with you before leaving.

  3. The recommendation and quote

Our recommendation states plainly whether a fix will last or replacement is wiser, and why. Your quote spells out each material, the amounts needed and the per-sheet rate for decking.

  4. Planning the work

Shingle line and color chosen, any required permit pulled and a start date confirmed. For storm jobs, claim documentation and the adjuster meeting happen here.

  5. Installation and walkthrough

The roof goes on to specification, the site is cleaned and nail-swept, and we walk the finished work together so you can see every detail.

Why Homeowners Trust Our Assessment

An inspection is only useful if the person doing it has no reason to shade the answer. Here is what backs ours.

  • Owens Corning Preferred Contractor

We hold Preferred Contractor status in the Owens Corning program, which means our installations follow that manufacturer's standards and the roof is set up for its shingle coverage.

  • A standard warranty on every roof

Each installation includes a standard warranty as part of the price. Broader protection is possible too: optional shingle and workmanship warranty upgrades, each explained plainly.

  • Installed to the written specification

Nail placement, underlayment, leak barrier, drip edge, new flashing and balanced attic ventilation are all done as the manufacturer instructs, because that is how a roof performs and stays covered.

  • A property left as we found it

Shrubs and beds shielded, debris cleared at the end of each day, a magnetic sweep across the yard and every scrap hauled off before the final walkthrough.

Inspecting Roofs Throughout Brookhaven and North DeKalb

Brookhaven's housing stock is varied. Postwar brick ranches near Ashford Park, larger homes around Murphey Candler Park, and newer infill builds with steep, complicated rooflines all share the same streets. Mature hardwoods shade much of the city, which means more debris on roofs and in gutters. From the Johnson Ferry Road and Peachtree Road corridors we reach the rest of north DeKalb County and the edge of Fulton, including Chamblee, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Doraville and the neighborhoods down toward Decatur. Thunderstorms in spring and summer can bring hail and strong wind to any of them.

Every roof assessed on its merits

An older ranch and a recent two-story age very differently. The recommendation reflects your roof's actual condition, not its age alone.

Tree cover taken into account

Overhanging limbs, leaf buildup and shade-held moisture are part of the inspection wherever they apply.

Wondering If Your Roof Can Be Saved?

Plenty of roofs that look worn still have years left, and some that look fine are failing underneath. A careful inspection tells you which one you have, and what it would cost either way.

Answers to the Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Clear, short explanations of the topics that come up during most inspections.

What does hail damage actually look like on shingles?

Usually dark, roughly circular spots where granules were knocked away, often soft to the touch because the mat beneath is fractured. You may also see cracks radiating from impact points and dents on vents, gutters and flashing. Damage tends to be heavier on the slopes that faced the storm. Because these marks rarely show from the yard, we verify them on the roof itself.

How does recoverable depreciation work on a roof claim?

With replacement cost coverage, insurers commonly pay the roof's depreciated value first and withhold the remainder. That withheld portion is recoverable depreciation. After the new roof is installed and the insurer receives the final invoice and proof of completion, it releases that amount under the terms of your policy.

Will I need to be at home while the roof is installed?

Usually not. We ask that you be reachable by phone, that vehicles are out of the driveway and that the garage is accessible if needed. Most homeowners like to be present for the final walkthrough so they can see the finished roof and ask questions.

What happens if the adjuster overlooks damage or denies the claim?

Anything overlooked can be raised with the insurer through a supplement, which we assemble with pictures and measured quantities. After a denial, you can ask the insurer to reconsider or to re-inspect, and thorough documentation strengthens that request. The final decision belongs to the insurance company.

Manufacturer coverage or workmanship coverage: what separates the two?

One addresses flaws in the shingles and other products as they left the factory. The other addresses errors in how the roof was assembled on your house. Each roof we put on carries a standard warranty, and you may add optional shingle and workmanship protection beyond it.

What if rotted decking turns up during the tear-off?

Soft or rotted boards cannot hold nails properly, so they need to be replaced before the new roof goes down. Our written quote states the price per sheet in advance, and we show you the damaged wood before replacing it. That way the cost is predictable and you can see why it was needed.

Does a roof replacement require a permit?

Many Georgia cities and counties do require a building permit for a full roof replacement, while small repairs often do not. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Where a permit is needed, we pull it as part of the job and schedule any inspection the city requires.

Could insurance cover a replacement after a hailstorm or high wind?

Possibly. When a covered storm causes enough damage that repair is not practical under your policy, replacement can be included. Coverage depends on your policy terms, the roof's condition before the storm and the adjuster's findings. Good documentation gives your claim the best footing, but the coverage decision rests with your insurer.

How will you protect my house and yard during the work?

Shrubs, beds and the base of the walls are covered before tear-off begins, and we keep debris contained as the old roof comes off. Loose material is cleared daily, a magnetic sweeper runs over the lawn, driveway and walkways, and everything is hauled away when the job is finished.
